The Implementation Project will attend the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP), taking place July 14-18, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland. TIP will participate in all plenary sessions and host a side event with Former NCAI and Quinault Indian Nation President Fawn Sharp, entitled “From Traditional Economies to Global Transformation: Indigenous Leadership in Rebuilding Economic Systems.” This event will feature Indigenous leaders, technical experts, and global partners to showcase how Indigenous Peoples are leading both immediate innovations and broader systemic reforms that honor and expand upon traditional economies.

From Traditional Economies to Global Transformation: Indigenous Leadership in Rebuilding Economic Systems will take place in-person only, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00am (CEST), in Room XXII at the UNOG Building E. Confirmed registration to EMRIP is required to attend the side events.
