The Implementation Project is excited to announce an upcoming event: Protecting Traditional Plant Knowledge Consultation Prep Webinar. This webinar is a collaboration of The Implementation Project, the Arizona State University College of Law Indigenous Innovation Initiative, the National Congress of American Indians, the University of Colorado Law School American Indian Law Program, Native American Rights Funds, the National Native American Bar Association, and UCLA School of Law Native Nations Law & Policy Center. The webinar will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 1pm-4pm Pacific Time/2-5pm Mountain Time/4-7pm Eastern Time.

We hope you can join us to prepare for the USPTO Tribal consultations on the WIPO Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources and Associated Traditional Knowledge. This session will explore the Treaty’s implications for Indigenous Peoples, highlighting its potential impact on cultural heritage, sovereignty, and intellectual property rights. Experts will break down key aspects of the Treaty and provide guidance on how Indigenous leaders and community members can engage in the upcoming USPTO Tribal consultations.
