For generations, Tribal Nations have defended sovereignty not only at home but also on the world stage. Today, the stakes are higher than ever. This breakout session will explore how Tribes are shaping international policy and finance to secure land recovery, protect traditional knowledge, advance self-determined economies, and more. Leaders will share updates from key global arenas—including the World Intellectual Property Organization, the World Economic Forum, the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and the UN Special Rapporteur. Together, we will chart global strategies to strengthen solidarity across nations and generations. Sponsored by The Implementation Project, a joint initiative of the Native American Rights Fund and the University of Colorado Law School; with support from the International Indian Treaty Council.
